Maine Lawyers Chapter
 of the
Federalist Society

Our MISSION

The Maine Lawyers Chapter aims to provide a forum for open dialogue among lawyers, law students, legal experts, businesspeople, and ordinary citizens who take an interest in matters of local, state, and national public policy. Most of our Chapter's events are open to all, and they provide an excellent opportunity for citizens to discuss and debate hot-button legal and social issues of our time.

More generally, the Federalist Society works to foster a greater appreciation for the separation of powers; federalism; limited constitutional government; and the rule of law in protecting individual and collective liberty. The Federalist Society is active nationwide with Lawyers Chapters, a Student Division, and a Faculty Division. Membership in the national organization is likewise open to all.

Who We Are

The Maine Lawyers Chapter does not have a formal membership, although many attendees of our programs are members of the national Federalist Society

Our attendees include lawyers and non-lawyers alike. All are welcome.
