About the event
Please join the Maine Lawyers Chapter for a casual lunch and a roundup of notable decisions from the 2022-2023 Supreme Court Term with Zack Smith. Mr. Smith is Legal Fellow and Manager of the Supreme Court and Appellate Advocacy Program at The Heritage Foundation's Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies. We will sail Casco Bay from Bailey Island on a classic schooner that comfortably holds 25 people. A box lunch and beverages (including water, sodas, beer, and hard seltzers) will be provided. The ship does not have wifi, but cell phone coverage is generally available, with some spotty areas, on Casco Bay. The ship has a toilet below deck (requires descending a ladder-like set of stairs to access). Feel free to bring friends and family. Please arrive by 10:15 a.m. and meet in the parking lot of Cook's Ale House. We will walk from the parking lot down to the ship and cast off by 10:30 a.m. Please contact Kyle Singhal at mainefedsoc@gmail.com with any dietary restrictions, mobility restrictions, or questions. Note: in the event that inclement weather cancels the sail, attendees will be contacted 24 hours prior to this event and offered a refund or an alternative venue for indoor programming.
